This, OP sounds like it's her way or the highway. Why do kids need gifts throughout the year? That doesn't make sense either.  This should be DH and Christmas and not making the in-laws the enemy here when the parents aren't on the same page with what the holidays are supposed to be about in their own house.[/quote]
