JFC. No, do not take advice from random anonymous strangers about what specific nipple size to use for a baby they have never met. Babies are excellent self-regulators and[b] if they are not spitting up, they are not being overfed.[/b]

This is not true for all babies. Maybe most but definitely not all babies. Some babies eat for comfort and do not throw up. One of mine did. I know because we reduced the feeds and she did not care one bit.

Agree with your overall point, but hate seeing so many people say this. Some don't throw up.

It's like with sugar, not all kids throw up with massive amounts of sugar. I never have, despite gorging as a child. Not everyone has these reflexes.[/quote]

As someone who had a snacky baby. I didnt feed him less- he ate more often. I also nursed 4-6 times at 6 months outside of daycare. Nursed at wakeup (730/8), dropped off within the next 90 minutes (930). Had 2-3 bottles before pickup at 330430 (11/2/sometimes 4 if I wasnt there by 4)  Nursed when at home 400-500, everything shifted a bit if he got a bottle at 4. Nursed at 7/8. Nursed 11/12. Nursed 3-5. Like clockwork, every  3-4 hours until he was 15 months. That has not changed. He likes big breakfast, snacks, medium lunch, snack, dinner, and during growth spurts will eat in the middle of the night.

He got 30+ ounces a day. [/quote]
