I have not appealed, but if I did, I would think a call to the AART at your school would be the first step, as well as making an appointment for WISC-IV testing. I would ask for a copy of the screening file from the AART, and you can provide additional materials (work samples, recommendation letters, etc.) to strengthen those areas that could appear "weak" in the initial screening file.
