Athletes are not in the same track. But there is no reason for envy. They have to work incredibly hard while also being full time students. It’s a different educational experience along with a different admissions standard.
So tired of the elitist attitude of athletes and parents. Kids who hold full time jobs, practice an instrument or perform have very challenging and demanding schedules. Athletes aren’t the only ones working hard.
Read what I said. They are getting a different educational experience. As in, after they get in. They aren’t getting all the perks and opportunities of non athlete kids. And I am not an athlete or an athlete parent. My ex boyfriend, who I despise now, was a D1 athlete. As terrible a person and boyfriend as he was, I can tell you he worked harder than anyone I knew while in college, because he had a serious full time job as an athlete on top of being a full time student. It sucked for him. It’s just not the same thing at all and it’s nothing to envy.
NP. Parent of athlete and musicians. Kids have worked at different periods of time. Being a school athlete is, by far, the most difficult and time consuming.
