I'm not the PP to whom you're responding but: There are tons of CS majors right now, both in and freshly out of college. Not sure I'd call it a glut, but there are just so many of them. And despite what you read on DCUM, being a CS major does not translate magically into walking into a high-paying job right out of college -- some parents here insist that's the case but it's just not. Source: My spouse who is a high-level IT manager and hires CS graduates. And other types of grads as well, many of whom weren't CS majors but still are fantastic at their jobs and often are better rounded employees. [/quote]
