Mine only really last a couple of days at most, and I sleep on a silk pillow case. I’d really like to start sleeping in a bonnet or a turban, but I don’t feel like having to deal with the reaction I’d get from DH about it.
Haha. This is me, too. But seriously, I do not understand the logistics of many of these answers. I am a previous 3A poster. I shower every day and wash, condition, and "do" my hair. I really do not see how this is more work than some of the extremes mentioned here (rewetting, re-gelling, etc.). Unless you aren't showering daily, either, which makes sense, I guess. But as long as I am showering and all the steam is going to turn my hair into a frizz disaster, I don't see why I would go to the trouble outlined above. Am I just totally missing something?
No, I think it is just that everyone has different scalp & hair needs and overall we all have different preferences. I go back and forth on how frequently I wash my hair depending on scalp and hair health and how I feel in general. Sometimes I just don't feel clean if I don't wash my hair as often as I wash my body.
