Whether or not it was a Proud Boy or a homeless drug addict who assaulted Pelosi, the assault itself is a force multiplier. The assault will give pause to all sorts of Democrats in Congress who think, if this could happen in a Democratic Speaker's home, then what could happen to any of us. You'll get Democrat representatives being less aggressive in Congress, Democrats less willing to run for Congress, Democrats less willing to volunteer for political campaigns, and Democrats less willing to vote. The cost to political participation then for Democrats will be higher than for Republicans, who are far less likely to face any of these things. Yes, Steve Scalise says hi, but the one crazy person going after him is the exception that proves the rule.
What an idiotic post. Truly. Look back over the past few years and just think for a minute. Rand Paul. Lee Zeldin. Just recently - a staffer for Rubio. Then, there is the aborted assassination on Kavanaugh. Then of course, Steve Scalise and all the other Republicans who were targeted on the baseball field. Tell us you didn't really think before you posted.
I see what you did there
Paul’s was a neighbor dispute. Zeldin’s was a deranged veteran who had no idea who Zeldin was. The Rubio canvasser thing wasn’t political, just wrong place at wrong time. Kavanaugh story was helpful at the time but wasn’t true. Scalise as PP said was exception that proves the rule. Fact is, it’s smart to be a Republican. Safer.
Way to excuse the violence. You have NO IDEA who committed this violent attack on Pelosi. Was it a neighbor who had a beef with him? A deranged veteran? A criminal who thought nobody was home and thought it might be a good time for a robbery? You people are just crazy.
