West of the mountains it is always green and lush. I lived in Seattle for a few years and the one benefit from the constant drizzle for nine months, is that there were always flowers and lush green trees, and it always smelled so fresh. But yes, drive over the Cascades, and it's almost desert-like. [/quote]
