Sully. I am voting Republican on several tickets this year. The corruption is rapidly becoming apparent to the public now. Diversity of thought is crucial. Or the corruption and incompetence will continue unabated.
agree with this. too much corruption and mismanagement of $$$ happening now. Willing to give Sully a chance. I dont vote party, I vote history, of which Elrich is not impressing me, and what a candidate's focus will be.
Here is a quote from Reardon Sullivan's campaign site: "The Montgomery County Public School administrators are not focused on providing the best education for our students. They have wandered far away from teaching basic reading, writing and arithmetic, and are focusing on the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) principles, diversity, and graphic sexual material to elementary school children. They even commissioned a $900,000 School Boundary Analysis, the focus of which was to redraw school boundaries for the goal of achieving school diversity even to the extent of bussing students to other school districts, despite the fact that parents bought homes to be in specific school districts." If you think this any of this is reasonable/accurate, then you have bought into GOP misinformation and are obviously not a liberal or a Democrat. Fine, you obviously have the right to vote for whoever you want. But MoCo voters don't elect wackos like this guy.
I didn’t know the above but I agree with it. 100%. The bussing initiative was nuts and a huge waste of money. I agree that the schools should go back to true basics. Do you honestly think this progressiveness has been good for the county? I think it has caused a bigger divide among races, a loss of the middle class since there aren’t enough well paying jobs in the county for everyone and definitely a huge increase in crime. I live in Wheaton and it has absolutely deteriorated in the past couple decades. My kids who attend a majority minority school have been caused racist just for glancing at a POC. They walk the halls with their heads down so they don’t mistakenly look at someone the wrong way. We live in an ethnic neighborhood and we do not know our neighbors despite efforts to get to them. I lived in this house for 50 years! There is petty crime everywhere. Violent crime happens a fair amount but is never reported. I used to take the metro to work but now drive to avoid glenmont station where I have been threatened and have had my car vandalized. We need to be tougher on crime both adult and teens. We need more businesses that can pay living wages, we need to focus on the basics for education and stop pushing kids thru that write at a 5th grade level and can’t do basic math. I am not voting for another 4 years of this BS.
Okay racist
How am I the racist when my kids were targets due to their skin color? Step out of your Bethesda schools and see what the rest of the county is like.
This but try being a black kid in rural areas. Step out of your Upcounty bubble
