Bucknell University is not a small school--at least in terms of LACs. Bucknell, at about 3,700 undergrads, is probably the largest LAC by a significant margin as Colgate has about 3,000 undergrads and Wesleyan has about 2,700. (Bucknell, Colgate, & Wesleyan are the three largest LACs to the best of my knowledge.)

Lewisburg, Pennsylvania is a charming town & home to a federal penitentiary.

Bucknell is well known for a heavy drinking culture that goes beyond beer & wine. But, this is true at Bucknell's overlap schools as well = Colgate, Lehigh, Wash & Lee, & Lafayette.

Additional overlap schools are: Univ. of Richmond, Villanova, Hamilton, and Boston College.

Beautiful town, beautiful campus, attracts lots of upper middle class & some upper class. Very white (75%). Not diverse & not inclusive. Solid engineering program.

One publication lists the top 5 employers as: PwC, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, IBM, & Merck. Very impressive list. Compare to Colgate University top 5 employers: EY, Morgan Stanley, Google, Goldman Sachs, & JP Morgan Chase.

In my opinion, both Bucknell & Colgate have beautiful take-your-breath-away campuses that can lead to a wonderful 4 years if you fit in.[/quote]
