[/quote] Maybe fancier isn’t the goal. Inviting someone (and spouse/partner) into your home is a gesture that suggests a professional relationship might become more social/personal. And, depending on where the guests are coming from, it can be a welcome respite from hotel rooms and restaurants. Plus, you aren’t at the mercy of other peoples’ schedules/constraints. Of course you lose the advantage of that if things aren’t going well, lol![/quote]
