The fact that the owner of this website endorses Silverman tells you all you need to know We do not need more white clueless left of left liberals running this town anymore.
When Silverman’s opponents make blatantly racial distinctions — would a clueless black left of left liberal pass muster? — it is easy to believe that they have the occasional anti-Semitic slip-up as well.
This looks like a clear example of the victim card playing that the many people who have gone on record have relayed about Silverman. It doesn’t come across as clever as you think it does. If Silverman, as a white person, engaged in systematic condescending behavior towards people of color in one-on-one situations, the response that “wow, why are you pointing out her race?” sounds just like Republicans who used to call Obama the “real racist” for pointing out racial discrimination in America.
Blaming the victim is exactly what you are doing. The poster to whom I replied was the one who made race an issue. Now you blame me for pointing it out? LOL, about playing the "victim card". I guess you think poor PP is the real victim because I quoted her words? The most liberal member of the Council is Janeese Lewis George. But, since she is not a "white clueless left of left liberals" is she okay to the previous poster? Are leftists okay as long as they are not white? If that is your position, then it is fair to ask what other races or ethnicities you oppose. If you oppose Silverman because you think she has been condescending towards people of color, but you wink and nod to people who complain about "white" people on the Council, I doubt the sincerity of your initial concern.
What you seem to misunderstand is that Silberman’s race and the race of the people that she behaved condescendingly towards is important and germane to the very problematic interactions that they relay in detail. A council member goes EOTR to meet heavily majority Black and poor constituents and tells them they need “soft skills” to make it in the job market. The race of that council member makes a big difference in terms of context. Even if you want to pretend that it doesn’t.
