Are all women in mid 30s really wearing crop tops?! Like exposed stomach?
Not a fully exposed stomach, no. The point is to wear a higher rise pair of jeans/pants and then a shorter top with it. It’s different from the late 90s/early 2000s style of low rise jeans and crop top where you did mean to show a lot of stomach … lol.
Gen X checking in - I thought the really high waisted pants were going on, and that mid and lower rise jeans were trendy again? Or are they all in style now - everything except skinnies? It's funny, all my life I've worn whatever the heck I like - except I always feel a bit of anxiety over jeans styles. I think because I want to buy clothes I am going to wear for years, and I just never know if those jeans I just dropped $100 on are going to be somehow passe in 20 minutes.
Low rise is coming back in but a) it’s not the low rise we wore in the 2000s, comparatively it’s more mid-rise than low and b) you don’t pair low rise with a shirt that has a longer hem, they go best with cropped tops, so they’re not gonna work at work; high or mid rise jeans are still going to be better for those situations.
