Can st llouis post the butter cookie recipe? And please the pumpkin cookie with maple frosting? I appreciate this thread. I used to be hardcore on not prepping Xmas before mid November — and then one year I had some major work deadlines and everyone got flu and I was then desperately trying to do all shopping and planning on 12/24. That was no fun.
Of course! :) Pumpkin cookies: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10949/pumpkin-cookies-v/. These are SO GOOD. Gooey buttercake: if I make bites sometimes I use a from-scratch recipe (https://www.thatskinnychickcanbake.com/gooey-bars-katies-birthday-request-2/) but, total honesty, I usually use the traditional cake mix recipe which is how my mom always made them and what I like best. Here's that version: https://lilluna.com/gooey-butter-cake/. For Christmas I top with red/green sprinkles before baking and cut the cake into tiny bites I then put in mini cupcake holders. Or more rarely I'll make them in cookie form, like this: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/16773/gooey-butter-cookies/. I hope Christmas is more fun and less stressful this year than that flu year was for you, PP!!
