FTR, the argument started because a white person decided to proclaim that we Black people need to fix what’s wrong in our community. It’s an inflammatory and bigoted statement that’s going to upset people. To think otherwise is ignorant. [i]ESPECIALLY[/i] when that person’s own group has its own huge issues to work through. I really respect TC coming out now to help people navigate a similar path. I will also state—again—that many of us Black people knew about his homosexuality and have supported him for decades. Black people support Black artists. I assure you TC would have been received much batter in any predominantly Black community than he would in many predominantly white ones across this country.
