Yes, because republicans are the ones raising felony shoplifting to $950 +, or advocating for “violence interruptors” at a cost of millions when 90% of studies show they have no efficacy on crime reduction, or are letting speeders with thousands of dollars of tickets renew their licenses, or are raising the youth rehabilitation act age up to 26, or won’t prosecute qualify of life crimes, or the list goes on. Democrats are relying on a loose take of the word “equity” to essentially water down the criminal justice system to reduce disparate impact at the cost of public safety. I hate that the Supreme Court overturned any sensible gun regulation, and what republicans do in that area, but at least they don’t want to, literally, allow certain crimes or change the definition of crime, oe simply make it easier to commit crimes in the name of “fairness” when it’s anything but and causes city life to suck. So you can yell “guns, guns, guns”, but it’s deeper than that. It’s progressive criminal justice and “reform” that are endangering people as well.[/quote]
