I would not even let them try it, because I knew if they loved it the practices would be a problem with location and our work schedule. This is an example of what I meant by personal reasons. There were a couple of other sports where I said no too, mostly because we couldn’t make it work with schedules. There are all sorts of reasons parents don’t let kids play sports.
