Seems a little odd.[/quote] MCPS forbids even teaching about religious holidays in schools! My kid’s ES teachers were explicitly told that they could not read books about Christmas to the class. Or about Halloween or Thanksgiving (which made no sense to me, as neither are religious). No way they would put religious books on the reading list, especially if they are Christian in nature.
