[/quote] I am Black and have been fat since I was a toddler and was shamed mercilessly for it by my family. My grandmothers and mom harped on my weight all the time and I was put on diets and inevitably developed an eating disorder (bulimia). This was down South during the 1980s. I eventually resorted to weightloss surgery and have maintained it but I think about food and my weight every minute of every day and am never happy with my body thanks to being conditioned that fat is bad as a kid.
