Rare is the school that covers all costs based on the parents who pay tuition. They also rely on the donations through the year too, especially the annual fund to cover operating costs, and donations were slim to none as everyone was donating to COVID direct costs elsewhere.[/quote]

My neighbors kids go to a camp that closed in summer of 2020.  They got so many donations that they ended up with more $$ than expected without even opening.  It was a high end camp so I guess families were able to donate generously.  I assume many private schools are similar.[/quote]
