The sports recruits at my kids’ affluent suburban HS are all standouts on their state championship teams or regional or national playoff winners. What would they or we be nervous about in your scenario? Most of the Singer clients did not hold themselves out as sports recruits in their local communities; instead they kept that element of the scheme very quiet. [/quote]

All the ones I’ve met are. It’s relative, of course. D3 recruits tend to be either standouts on a lower level team or solid but not spectacular contributors to a top team. D1 recruits are objectively standouts by any measure. The recruits for individual sports all have the best times or ratings. If any of the Singer type fake recruits had advertised their alleged recruit status, there would be a huge amount of gossip in their school community as every knows what levels you need to play at to have a shot and there’s no faking it for any sport I can think of.
