Never very fond of her but can’t give a reason. She should have stuck to her legal analyst roots because that’s when she shined. Her husband was recently involved with Depp’s legal team. Someone dropped the ball and thought it would be swell for Guthrie to do an exclusive interview with Heard. Guthrie was so bad. Absolutely coached by her lawyer husband. It was not an objective interview. She was awkwardly unprofessional. Another unattractive woman attacking a beautiful woman.
She attacks everyone she interviews. She is unprofessional IMO, as far as being a "journalist" goes (which she's not; she's an entertainer).
She is also a trained lawyer.
Did she pass the bar? Was she ever employed as a lawyer; for how long?
NP, according to Wikipedia she was a journalist first, went to law school a few years after college. She did work for a big firm for a couple years before becoming a legal journalist essentially - something like a correspondent for a network that specialized in legal news. I always liked her - she seemed not to take herself so seriously and seemed fun. But the last few years I've gotten kind of tired of her. I think that job comes with a lot of money and perks and maybe it went to her head.
So she has a JD or not? Ever passed a bar or not? The PP called her a "trained lawyer".
Yes, she passed the bar. https://www.washingtonian.com/2020/10/16/a-reminder-savannah-guthrie-is-an-attorney/ Here’s a quote from the article… “Guthrie attended Georgetown Law while freelancing for WRC-TV, and she graduated magna cum laude.” “When she took the bar exam in Arizona, where she grew up, Guthrie had the best results of all 634 participants. Guthrie then spent two years at Akin Gump focusing on white collar criminal defense before returning to TV full-time.”
