That kind of treatment by airlines should be ILLEGAL and punishable by a MASSIVE fine. I'd rather the cost of the ticket increase a little rather than have the anxiety of never knowing when a flight will be rescheduled. I'm so sorry, OP.
Our European friends are appalled by what US airlines can get away with and how they can leave customers totally SOL.
Well tell your “European friends” that plenty of us have nightmare stories traveling there, on their airlines. We had a 3 hour delay out if Dulles on BA last week that caused a cascading line of problems with connecting flights. We finally arrived in Budapest at 2:00 am only to face an hour long plus wait at immigration because of course only one person was working at that hour despite the fact that hundreds of passengers were arriving on similarly delayed flights from across Europe Get off your high horse PP about this being an American problem
+1 Ryanair. Enough said.
Amsterdam to limit number of flights this summer. https://youtu.be/CJsGuSf3gls
