These will be mispronounced more than the Nora and Flora because of confusion about long "e" vs "i" sounds: Freya Thea [I've known a Tay-uh and a Thee-uh and a Thay-uh all spelled like that] Lyra Isla Ayla Personally I prefer Dorothea to Theodora if you do go that route, but people may still wonder if it's Doro-tay-uh or Doro-thee-uh.
OP here and I have also wondered about this. I think we would do Thee-uh or Tay-uh but not Thay-uh. I was also considering Téa (it's the greek spelling and my dad's family is greek), but then we wouldn't use Theodora which was intended to honor DH's grandfather Theodore. Plus then DH said if we did Téa, people would drop or ignore the accent all the time and call her Tea (like the drink), and he's probably right. So Thea/Theodora/Téa may be out of the running at this point. It was among my least favorite of this set, though, even though I liked that it could be a way to honor a family member and was in keeping with our current theme. Maybe Thalia? Though I just like how the two-syllable names flow with our chosen middle and last names.
