She sounds so much like my Blair kid! Swap passionate volunteer w/ arts, and there you go.  Would you get FA at the CSS schools? We also can't afford full pay at elite, but because we are under $150K AGI, we got financial aid from the targets and reaches she was accepted to because they used the CSS. Targets were Vassar and Wesleyan.  She had 2 safeties that had a lot to like about them, so the rest were reaches.

Dartmouth,  Brown and Northwestern.  FA was good at all 3 (40-45k efc). FA was best at Wesleyan.  Vassar was about 47k. All beat the net price calculator for us.[/quote]
