Every teacher I know was not happy when it was announced. I think the union put something together opposing it? I'm very much in favor of social emotional learning in schools--the kids really do need it--but this is NOT the program.[/quote]

No, that post does not address *how* the curriculum fails to address children who have experienced trauma, just asserts that it doesn’t. Also, I guess I’m wondering whether any school program designed for the entire student body could adequately address the needs of children who have experienced trauma? That strikes me as something that would need to be more specialized and targeted, and perhaps would depend on the type of trauma. At any rate, None of the posts have said anything concrete about the program or its failures, just a lot of people who don’t like it.[/quote]

My kids really enjoyed this program. THey said it was very helpful, especially after the stresses of the past 2 years.[/quote]
