You couldn't be more wrong. When the apps first started, they didn't even use private owners. They worked with taxi companies and limo/black car services to offer another way for riders to get quick rides without having to deal with cash which made it safer for taxi drivers and a way for car services to make extra money between scheduled rides. Even when they added in private car owners, uber in particular was adamant that you would never feel the pressure of tipping. And now they've changed that. I absolutely will not tip. I just checked and my Lyft rating is 5.0 and my Uber rating is 4.8.

Seriously. This sounds like the person who also refuses to tip servers, "because they should be paid more." Um, okay? All you're doing is stiffing the person who's helping you. You're not disrupting the system, dude. And stiffing them under the guise of being on their side is truly cynical. [/quote]
