I ordered a towel that was delivered to the wrong house. Our address was 850 and they delivered it to 805. I saw the picture and walked over there about an hour after it was delivered. The person who answered the door said they already used it, told their kid to go get it from the bathroom, and then tried to hand me a wet used towel. It was weird. Like the person got the package that wasn’t for them, opened it immediately and thought, “wow! An unexpected towel! I think I’ll take a midday shower.”
This is pretty funny. I could see this happening innocently at my house, as DH and I have different Amazon accounts and we sometimes open each other’s packages without realizing it. I did once accidentally misappropriate some neighbor’s package thinking It was DH’s. I’d been telling him I wanted some grill baskets for fish and vegetables, and a couple weeks later a package arrived with a fish basket. He was traveling at the time, and by the time he got home I wasn’t thinking about it. Several months of grilling later, I told him how grateful I was that he got it for me. He had no clue what I was talking about, and we both checked our order history and confirmed neither of us ordered it. Sorry neighbor, whoever you are!
