FYI re Cleveland Park urgent care -- we went Sunday afternoon once around 1:30 pm or so and they turned us away saying they were completely booked. You can register online for an appointment, but if it is later in the day make sure to call ahead to see if they are still taking walk-ins.
Yesterday I tried to make an appointment online but the place was fully booked. I was feeling dizzy so decided to walk in before noon. I was able to see the dr. I have been here before without appt. but will definitely try to register online. However, I called the one in the Hill. I was told I will be able to see the dr within 15mins. They are located right at the new york ave red line. I was too sick to drive or take the metro. I agree with some of the messages. It's nice to have more than one option. DC has been lacking of urgent cares. We go here due to long waits for primary care appt, extended emergency room wait time and they are open until late and over the weekend. Urgent care scope of services is broader than that of many primary care offices and to a certain extend they can provide similar non life threatening services similar to hospitals. I am "save a tree" type of person and I personally like the electronic health records at the Cleveland Park Urgent Care. On the other end I would like to go Cleveland Park urgent care because is only few blocks from me but as noted, it's booked at all times, frankly I don't think this place needs any sort of marketing. I don't understand why other locations are promoted when clearly this thread refers to "Urgent care in downtown DC or near metro?" . For emergencies late at night I use Sibley Hospital and for my kids Childrens Hospital.
sorry - I kept referring to Cleveland park urgent care but the business name is "DC immediate and primary care" and the one in Capitol Hill is "Metro immediate and primary care".
