[quote=Anonymous][quote=Anonymous]I want to send out announcements, not birthday party invitations, and not sure what wording to use. Can anyone make a suggestion? BettySue is turning 1! BettySue will be 1 this October. Ugh, I'm not inspired.[/quote] Wow! There are such "haters" responding to the original post. The OP asked for suggestions with wording for the 1st birthday announcement, not for your opinion of if she should send them out. I'm going to be sending out a professional photo announcement with my little one's 1st birthday picture to our family members because we do not live close to our family. I don't care who blasts me for this, I believe it's a great way to keep in contact with our family. I don't expect any gifts, but I refuse to print something so tacky as "No gifts please" on the photo announcement. Now, to answer the OP question, here are some suggestions for a 1st Birthday Announcement. 1. Guess who just turned 1? Our little baby is getting older. 2. Sugar, space and everything nice. Those are the ingredients to make the perfect little girl. We couldn't be more proud! 3. We can hardly believe a year has passed, our sweet little monkey has grown so fast! 4. One little candle on the cake, one little 1st birthday wish to make! 5. Laughing, crawling, growing up fast... Since she arrived a year has passed. 6. It's my 1st ever birthday! 7. Time flies when you're having fun. Can you believe it? She's turning one! 8. We can't believe it's been a year, [NAME]'s first birthday is already here! 9. A little cake, a lot of fun, [NAME] is turning one! 10. After 12 months of being the baby around here, it's time to celebrate my fabulous first year! 11. Cake and icing in the hair... I am ONE Year Old so I don't care! Picture, balloons, presents for me, I'd rather have the box, if you please! 12. I learned to laugh and squal, then sit and stand, and I can walk now if you hold my hand. But the fun has just begun, look out world, I'm turning one! 13. One year ago on [DATE OF BIRTH] at [TIME OF BIRTH] a little angel blessed our lives. We named her [NAME]. In the past year she has learned so much, how to smile, laugh, crawl, feed herself, get into things she is not supposed to, and most of all she learned how to love!!! P.S. Yes, I know that the OP's baby's birthday has passed, but this is for other parents who may Google & find this thread.[/quote]
