They want all trucks to pay at least 240% more than a typical car because they are trucks and then want to give special breaks to Tesla owners.

If the purpose of the tax is supposedly for safety, they shouldn’t have a Tesla exception. They should instead be using the tax to encourage DC residents to buy Nissan Leafs.
