OP here. DH has a Ph.D. in statistics. You could look at the stats until you're blue in the face, but ultimately you need to do what feels right. And private feels right. I don't like the comparison to lightning strikes. How often do we hear about lightning strikes on the news or even around the world? I have lived in SO MANY of the cities where mass shootings have taken place. It feels like a small world. [/quote]
