If you shop at Lidl, what are some of their best products that would make simple, easy to cook dinners for a college student?
I literally cannot imagine my parents ever doing this kind of post. Your college student has access to the internet and is an adult. They can make their own food choices.
It is SUPER-normal for parents or FIL/MILs to teach their kids and kids-IL their traditional recipes. Favorites and healthy too. I will say Cooks Illustrated/ATK and mealkits like ChefnBox and Gobble are going to be WAY BETTER than the #1 hit on google/youtube as Alphabet doesn't incorporate tastebuds or meat thermometers in the sorting algorithm. HARD disagree with this condescending PP.
Very common for millennial and Z parents who have helicopter parents, Super odd for other generations, though. Raising independent kids is not really a thing anymore...that's why they don't leave home.
Hah! If I had a dollar for every time someone told me I was raising my kids wrong… I could better afford college that’s for sure! Half the time I was too overprotective and helicoptering and the other half too underprotective and neglectful so I guess it balances out? I dunno. My kids seem basically intelligent and mentally healthy and the average amount of useful in terms of life skills, and I like them and enjoy their company so… I guess I’ll accept that I did my best ? I’m pretty humble about criticizing other peoples parenting styles now, especially online.
