I'm coming at this from a pretty privileged position, so I want to acknowledge that I know not everyone has the same hours as us and the early wake up will be very hard for some families and for kids who rely on the bus to our option school, there are many families who will have to get to the bus stop at ungodly hours. I also understand for people without as flexible of schedules that they won't really benefit from the earlier dismissal.

It seems like reactions are pretty mixed across the folks at our school who I've spoken to, pretty much boiling down to whether or not their family wakes up early already or not. But the consistent annoyance int hat our school was switched to a later start time this year (after having an earlier start in past years) under what now appears to be a false pretense. So people changed their schedules to accommodate the change, and now we're having to change things back.[/quote]
