My sister is now living in France and has zero gastrointestinal issues since moving out of the states. She eats even more foods than she did here because the foods there don't make her ill like they did in the US. She hasn't even gained any weight, either, even though she's eating bread at every meal since she didn't eat bread in the US for the last 12 years!

She's sent me photos of the nutritional information and ingredients list from her favorite foods, like cereals and crackers, and we've compared them to their American versions. You can read nearly all ingredients on the French labels whereas the US labels are full of unpronounceable ingredients. The French versions will also usually have half the ingredients listed that the US versions have.

The US has standards that benefit the manufacturers to make them more $$$. Other countries have standards that benefit their people first. [/quote]
