[/quote] As long as her child can see themselves at the ones that are likely on the list and applies to those EA (if available) and uses ED strategically, they should be fine. You don’t need six schools that are likely, if you have three true likely schools - and this means they accept over half of the applicants in your major/field AND your stats are competitive - and you put in the effort into the application/essay and showing interest that should be enough to have options/choices. My child had the 3 schools that were likely including one in state school, 4 schools in that 30- 40% acceptance rates where they were within range and it could go either way and 3 big reaches. That was honestly enough. The challenge was finding the ones would be happy to attend, likely to get in and we could afford - that was harder than finding matches/reaches.[/quote]
