That’s not the issue here. The issue is that she is claiming to be the chairperson of a multi-million dollar nonprofit, and she’s not disclosing which one. I don’t have a problem with Christians— but I do have a problem electing a public official who believes LGBT kids in our school system are sinful and not deserving of protections in our PUBLIC school system. And I REALLY have a problem with candidates who try to pass as moderates or democrats when they are clearly not. In this age of rampant censorship in schools across this country, I don’t want anyone with a conservative intolerant worldview anywhere NEAR our public schools.[/quote]

Then I hope you plan to apply that same logic across religions.  I have Muslim relatives and Muslims are often very anti-LGBQT.  Does that mean you will never vote for a Muslim Democrat BOE candidate?  Or do you just target Christians?

Biden's a catholic, the catholic church opposes gay marriage and homosexuality. That doesn't mean Biden espouses the catholic church's views.

O’Connor is a regular commentator on Fox and Friends, and was a feature writer on Breitbart. And she is president at her church that is intolerant to gays and lesbians. I don’t think it’s a stretch to call her a conservative homophobe.[/quote]

The easiest litmus test is to ask one question:

Do you support MCPS requiring the use of teaching materials (e.g., text books, videos, images, case descriptions) that describe or depict diverse legal family structures (e.g., households of single parents, transgender parents, same-sex married parents, multiracial parents, and guardians)? Don’t even get into the description of kids in these materials. If she answers that she does not support materials that show these legally recognized family structures, she’s a bigot.[/quote]
