The schools with common sense are doing it temporarily.
Haha - mask mandates have continuously failed, and you want to force mask kids again. Sick, sick people. Thankfully none are reinstituting them, except crazy Zero COVID universities that try to eliminate cases at the expense of college kids' education and mental health.
Kids education and mental health is impacted if they get sick with covid or their families do. Masking is a basic precaution. Multiple layers of precautions are important.
Precaution to what? Testing positive? The what? People who are vaccinated aren’t showing much if any symptoms. Only a small number of infected get I’ll and those are elderly and the sickly. Just like any infection does to them. That’s why they should stay out of hospitals or sick wards.
My friend’s otherwise healthy niece is currently in the hospital due to COVID. My neighbor has had sun pints for weeks and remains ill. Stop spreading misinformation.
Data is more powerful than anecdotes, in any field or argument.
Minimizing the virus and suggesting it’s no more than a cold minimizes real life experiences, plus fails to take into account long-term impacts that are now well documented.
The problem is that the cat is out of the bag. Back when few had experienced covid, people ran around scared and were willing to take precautions. At this point too many people have had covid to continue masking and limiting their life. We also know hundreds if not thousands of people who have had it and everyone is back to normal. It’s hard to believe the long covid articles when everyone you know is perfectly fine.
You’re fortunate then because I personally know 3 people who died from Covid.
