No, you’re just having reading comprehension issues. The teens who are charged with carjacking are being prosecuted. The adults would be charged with lesser crimes, I guess receiving stolen property and gun charges or something like that, but it’s likely they don’t have enough evidence to go forward unless the teens make a deal and testify against them, which could still happen in the future.

It seems like a lot of people have a fantasy that we’re not “tough on crime” unless everyone who is arrested is thrown in jail immediately but this is America and that’s not how it works, thank goodness. [/quote]

Love when someone is wrong but accuses others of “reading comprehension issues”. But you’re right, not pursuing charges for people caught with illegal drugs, guns, and accused of carjackings is totally being “tough on crime”. [/quote]
