All I wish is she would stay out of the DMs of the reopen mcps Facebook crew. Constant DMs asking them to participate in a story or provide a name for someone they know to interview - essentially biased viewpoints from one particular side. Do your own reporting instead of relying on bitter semi mental health professionals for information about MCPS. We don't want to hear what THEY think - we want you to do actual reporting. For once, try talking to people with different backgrounds and opinions. Your piece are stale.
I have no idea what that group is as they are a closed group but she does this with any group related to MCPS. She tried to lie her way into our group and didn't identify herself as a reporter.
Hi, Can you identify what group this is? I’ve never tried to lie about my identity to get into a group. I suspect — based on the way my request was denied — this has to do with my request to join the group dedicated to the virtual academy. It never asked if I was a reporter and I answered all of the questions honestly (no, I don’t have anyone in the VA, and I am not a parent, and I’m just interested). The group denied my entry and I never requested again, so this is an interesting point to try to make. My intent with attempting to join, was to make a post like the one I started here to find sources for a story. The story would have been to allow families and staff to talk to me about their experiences this year, whatever that is, rather than reporting on a pre prepared MCPS presentation at a school board meeting. If you ever have concerns or questions, you can ALWAYS reach me via email. Caitlynn.peetz@bethesdamagazine.com. I hope you all have a great weekend! Caitlynn
That's not the group I'm talking about but maybe they didn't want your involvement given you wouldn't think twice about shaming them. If you wanted information about a school, why not call the school and talk to them? They could have provide you with parents.
