Can anyone estimate what the average stats are for kids from FCPS?
also curious
I think it is too early to know. I don't think we saw last year's by county stats until the fall.
can anyone report the stats from last year? Or where is this info available?
Be careful to look at the stats as a range not a cut off and also by major. As I have reported before, my high stat child was waitlisted for CS. If you are a high stat kid and actually really want to go to VT for CS, you better apply ED - that is what we were told. Now how many 1600-range SAT kids want to apply to VT ED is another matter. Also if you look at the data, 90% of CS spots are offered OOS. It is a major they can get higher revenue from. So be careful if you are from VA and thinking CS is a viable option - not only will your high score potentially not help you, they are possibly likely to hurt you. Unless you go ED.
Same for engineering. Someone up thread commented on how many OOS people they ran into. I think many in state kids were WL. That's our NOVA experience and of friends and neighbors.
