Is it so inconceivable that there could be people that despised Trump but that are also willing to acknowledge that the current administration is less than perfect and that this president also lies and tells mistruths and that is just as wrong as when Trump did it? I think you are missing my point.  Let's forget Trump for a minute.  Do you think it is OK for Biden to lie?
My point is that if lying is wrong, it should be wrong no matter who says it.

To be clear- I am NOT trying to say that overall Biden is as bad as Trump.  He most certainly is not.  What I am saying is that a president should not lie to the public.  A president should take care to not exaggerate or make "misstatements."  If we are going to restore faith in government, that has to matter.[/quote]
