Did the Walgreens guys really sing a song about blood? I was cringing so hard at this week’s episode. When all the episodes have aired, I’d love to see one comprehensive breakdown of what was real and what was made up for the show. It’s astounding how the lies went on for so long.
I didn't listen to the podcast, but the Bad Blood book explains it really well. I mean, I agree it is totally astounding, but in some ways, it makes total sense. It was definitely timing - huge economic uncertainty combined with the recent billion dollar startups that people felt they missed out on. Many people were like I'm not going to miss out, I'm going to give them time and money and we'll all make a ton when this gets sorted out. She and Sonny definitely played people well - pitting the retail pharmacy leaders against each other was a genius move. The more high profile people got involved the easier it was to bring more people in. But yea, this wasn't driving people around in cars like Uber or letting people chat online like Twitter....so is crazy that people let a freaking medical device go this far.
