I have a very limited amount of free time—I don’t want to hang out with another mom just because her kid is in my son’s class. I want to spend it with friends who I haven’t been able to spend much time with in recent years and now, thankfully, it’s safe to do so!

If my child is happy, has friends, and is receiving a good education—that’s enough for me to be happy with the school. The school doesn’t owe me, as a parent, a “sense of community.” And if the school touted that in their marketing material….that is odd. [/quote]
