I work in a central office instructional support role and agree, it’s very interesting and I love my job.

All of the schools mentioned are good schools - like many DCUM discussions go, it’s easy to over analyze when on the whole there is a high bar set. From my
lens, the culture at Westgate is one that is driven by test scores and ‘teaching to the test’ whereas Lemon Road places more energy on cultivating students’ citizenship and deep thinking skills. The teachers I’ve interacted with from Lemon Road seem to have more ownership over their approach to teaching and learning and craft opportunities that are more student-centered rather than curricula-centered, which results from the values of the leadership. I prefer this approach to education and would send my child to Lemon Road for this reason if given the choice.

This is totally inaccurate. Westgate is anything but a school that teaches to the test. Just look at the annual faculty engagement surveys that an employee should have access to and you'll see how much more engaged, supported, and satisfied Westgate teachers are compared to Lemon Road. Please don't spout having special knowledge without actually presenting any facts.[/quote]

And to add another factor, Westgate is better at honoring its DIE commitments, and is overall a more wholistic environment for your child. Through this lens, Westgate ought to edge-out over Lemming Road.[/quote]
