I have been having a good experience with Dr. Koo as my primary OB. I don't think you would see the MFM primarily unless you are very high risk? Or at last, you don't need to. I'm only slightly high risk though. I don't recommend rotating among them, as you will get different advice from each one, as I found out. It is true you'll see whoever is on call when you actually deliver, but if you only meet each OB once or twice it's not like you will know anyone well anyway. Just my perspective.
Second for Dr. Koo! He delivered my first and had such incredible bedside manner, was so supportive of my wishes and coached me through the natural childbirth that I wanted.
That’s good to hear. I agree he’s been supportive to my potential wish to have another unmedicated birth. Previously I have only seen midwives and I feel overall this practice is similar enough to the midwife practices that I haven’t switched, even though I could qualify. Hoping to have someone like this during delivery.
Another vote for Dr Koo. I had an appointment with him two weeks ago when I had to make a last minute change and really liked him. All the power to those looking for unmedicated- I'm looking to go the opposite way due to past trauma and losses and he was incredible and supportive. I'm planning on using him as my primary OB going forward as my existing OB - Dr Lesko- is one of the ones leaving. I'm hoping it will be easy to get on his schedule as Dr Lesko is super popular and I know some folks are less comfortable with a male OB.
Will request Dr. Koo, thank you! Based on this, seems like Drs. Lesko and Cigna are the ones leaving unless there’s more than 2 departures.
