+1 in part because NU, situated in Chicagoland, is almost certainly more down to earth than Duke.

I think it's a toss up for the OP, but I found NU to have plenty of sports culture.  Duke is sports-obsession, at least for basketball.  As for the weather, I MUCH prefer Chicago to North Carolina.  Give me cold over heat and humidity any day.[/quote]
