I mean...I'm a vegetarian and I would just pick out the broccoli and eat it.  Vegetarian means not eating meat.  I understand if not eating anything that has touched or been cooked with meat is OP's rule, but don't act like it's some universal definition of vegetarianism.[/quote]

Many, many vegetarians are not as lax as you. They do not want vegetables and sauces cooked with meat. It’s very common.
