If I had to go through 60,000 applications (or whatever it is now) I’d want the additional info.  If you can’t be bothered to write 250 words, you’re not really interested so yeah, you can go to the bottom of the pile. [/quote]

I actually find this abhorrent. The kid works hard on the application, provides everything that is needed, and then school is like Waahhh, this is hard! So much to go through!!

Ok, guys, now if you REALLY want to come, PAYING THE APPLICATION FEE and us telling you what hoops to jump through, we decided to add another-- please submit another assignment*

This is teenager, and some of difficult circumstances. Agree with other poster-- offer option of Essay or Refund.
Why only the students have to stick to agreements?
