In retrospect, I’m not sure I’d do the different color tops/bottoms again—although it’s fine, and I’m not sure what single color would have worked—but I chose countertop materials for functionality, so I’ll always be happy with that decision. We were very focused overall on functionality and materials, which means we compromised some on aesthetics. The new kitchen does everything we wanted it to, and we love cooking in and spending time in it. If you’re not an Instagram influencer or a house flipper, don’t compromise function for form.[/quote]
